Our Approach

A 30-Day Sprint

We designed a month-long grassroots campaign that leaned heavily on relationship-building, local pride, and strategic media outreach. Our goal was to center the community in the campaign — because when people feel seen and connected to a mission, they show up.

Our multi-pronged strategy included:

  • Media Outreach: We secured coverage on key local platforms including 13 News Now, Coast Live, the Hampton Roads Show, z104, and Black Wall Street Today.

  • Influencer & Advocate Engagement: We worked with local educators, parents, and health advocates to amplify the message.

  • Social Media Campaign: Designed branded graphics, countdowns, testimonials, and live updates that fueled anticipation and momentum.

  • Event-Day Coordination: Despite heavy rain, our on-the-ground support ensured participant safety and kept energy high.

The Challenge

Lex Talk Dyslexia, founded by Aarian Daniels and inspired by her daughter’s personal journey with dyslexia, exists to provide support, education, and advocacy for families navigating learning differences.

While the community group had a passionate mission and a growing following, they needed help turning that energy into tangible action for their inaugural fundraiser — a community bike ride to raise awareness and funds for free reading support in Aarian's daughter's school for other children with Dyslexia.

Ultimately, they hired us to:

  • Raise $3,000 to provide services for struggling readers

  • Recruit 100 participants for the community bike roll

  • Build visibility in the Hampton Roads region
